Catalina 25 Keel Repair

Hello,
Attached are some keel pictures of my friends 1983 Catalina.
Any suggestions on a repair procedure

He'll have to do what I did to my keel last summer, grind it down to metal, put new epoxy on it, then repaint. If he is into racing or performance out of the boat, it would be worth trying to fair or smooth out the keel as best as he can. Some folks gain up to .5-1 knots depending upon the size of the boat. Smaller ones less, BIG ones more.

looks like the infamous catalina smile -its well documented on many sites on the internet.

i believe there is an issue with the keel bolts that may need to be addressed. link below relates to the C27 - which may have similar issue to c25
