Cracking Water Tanks
I have two fiberglass water tanks in my boat that are in need of a little TLC. One simply needs some baffles installed, while the other has some small leaks and cracks starting along the edges. I want to fix these little problems, but have come up with a big question. Will fixing these be safe?
I need to glass in the fixes, but will raw expoxy resin leech anything into the water system? Should I be painting over the glass to stop this leeching? And if I have to paint over it, what with? The paint, or gel coat, could also leech something into my water supply. Does anyone know for sure out there?
