Does anyone have a Reliable 2000U33 Sewing machine

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has a reliable 2000u33 sewing machine. If so does it do fine with sunbrella material? Thanks in advance!

Consider..

With sewing machines BUY LOCAL !! There are no deals unless you can get parts and service. I understand the commercial Reliables are Chinese made knock offs of the Consews and some of the Juki's and the smaller ones are Sailrite knock offs with considerably less support. If you have a Reliable dealer close, who is legit, and will be there in the future go ahead and buy one, if not don't.

I can't stress enough the importance of local service and parts. I knocked out the timing on my commercial Brother (same machine as a Consew 206) and I simply popped the head in the car and a half hour later she was fixed..

I'd gladly pay 30-40% more for a machine to have local support..!!

I don't understand your post if that were the case then no one would buy a sailrite machine. They only have 2 customer service locations, Indiana and Maryland. As far as on site dealers they have a handful in Canada, Italy, UK, and Australia. What do those of you with a Sailrite do if you need service?

I owned a ...

I owned a SailRite and bought it through a local SailRite dealer who serviced it. SailRite used to have a good dealer network and I don't think they still do.. They do offer very good customer support but if you need a timing adjustment or something that requires more than just a belt or needle change you'll most likely need to send it in if they don't have a local dealer.

My dealer will still service a SailRite but no longer stocks them because of some silly wholesale level games the Grant brothers started playing with their dealer network..
