trolling motor for the dingy?

I have nine-foot Tinker Tramp inflatable with a wood transom. I'm thinking about trolling motor and I'd like some input.

What do you do about batteries? Add a deep cycle to the boats system to keep it charged ? I was thinking I'd run some wires for a charging circuit in my cockpit locker and stow the dinghy battery there.

What size motor? How much would it take to be able to assist in docking the boat when if my engine quits? (see my most recent blunder)
