Attaching an outboard

I have a 16 ft Greene Ray Rebel. I'd like to put a small outboard on it so I can get out into the open part of our lake easier. Does anyone have any experience attaching outboards, any advice on the type of bracket to use. I'd like to be able to easily take the motor off the boat when I don't need it. Also, I've been looking at Honda's 2 hp portable outboard. Is 2 hp enough to push a 700 pound boat plus crew? I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks
