Merit 25 restoration blog

Hi everyone,
I am a 24 year student and I recently purchased a merit 25. I plan on restoring it over the next couple of months and I am going to blog about the process. I would love to have some input from some forum members. Check out merit25restoration.blogspot to view the blog. There are some pictures and more details on the page. Thanks
Nick

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Best of luck, Fuzzy. Looks like you've got some work ahead of you!! Post here again when you've made some progress. We'd love to see, but are too forgetful to go look.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I will try to keep everyone updated as I progress. There is definitely a lot of work to be done. Next week I plan on moving the boat to the house and I should be able to put in a lot of hours in the next couple of months. I am sure it will be a learning experience of a lifetime.

Dog: I will be sailing it primarily at Fernridge reservoir because it is close and slips are pretty cheap, but I would like to get up to the San Juans and the coast.
