Anyone seen these spots before??

Hi all... This thread is a continuation of the previous thread Paint build-up or Barrier Coat? I've finished sanding all of the old paint off the bottom of my Catalina 22' and have 50 or so possible problem spots. This is my first project of this type and I was hoping someone out there might be able to identify these spots.

I've attached 3 pictures, the first is of what I think might be some type of fiberglass rot or pre-blister area. The second picture I'm not quite sure if its an old epoxy fix or maybe the beginning stages of picture 1. Picture 3 is a combination of the two.

I'm wondering if anyone has ever seen similar looking spots and if anyone has advice as to how to handle them. My plan was to grind into the glass and patch with Interlux Water-tite Epoxy Filler.

1 = blister, through the gell and into the glass.
2 = beginning blister
3 = previously patched (spot repair) blister.

There have been many posts already on blister repairs, the advice given in those posts has the full realm of info on how to repair them.

#1. is more likely where air gets trapped in the glass. Unless when you sanded it down a noticeable water came out.

#2 and #3 its possible that there just was enough epoxy to hold the gel coat?

Either or nothing to major to worry about - use the filler - epoxy, prime and paint over...Just make sure you follow the instructions to the T and keep the areas cleaned before and after each process.

#3 may have also been a layup void instead of a blister.

#3 looks like a repaired blister; the "pink" stuff in the middle might be polyester fairing compound (AKA Bondo). If you allowed the hull to dry out before sanding it the others may be blisters that have flattened out a bit. Poke and/or tap with something hard to see if the hull flexes beneath and if so then you will have to grind back the area and re-fair with a fairing compound.
