I installed a Tides system and am very pleased with it. Sailmaker made changes to the main for about $130.00 and I installed the track. Just slid the new track on.

got a strong system from Sailnet.
The good folks also changed my sail over.
WORKS EXCELLENT. Worth every penny for my old boat.

Install was about 30 minutes... just push it up the keep and fasten at the bottom ( provided hardware )

Only problem I have, is when I want to reef the main, I actuall have to open the lower gate and release one buckle. But that is really only on my silly mast ( 30 years old )

Looked at putting a Strong system on our J/36 but haven''t done it yet--- waiting until we do more cruising than racing; we now have a simple slot in the mast for the luff rope. FYI, however, J/Boats now uses it as standard issue on their new boats because it works so dependably.
