Might wanna open you deck cap to insure you are venting. It is an easy and quick test.

We gave up last weekend and spent a couple of hours on it tonight after we arrived. Here's what we got... We disconnected the output on the pump and we have plenty of pressure there, so wherever the problem is it is definitely after the pump. We've gone through half of the system and bled hoses and we still can't pump more than a tiny stream. Venting appears OK, and as I mentioned - pump output is good.

I'm working on drawing up a diagram. This problem is killin' me!

You've obviously got blocked hose someplace... or a kinked hose...

Actually - if you have pressure out of the pump..but nothing out of the faucets...If you had a air leak - you would have a water leak and water in the bilges each time it cycled...

Is it possible that you have multiple water tanks and somewhere in the system the out put of the pump - instead of drawing from the second tank - is trying to pump it back in? The reason I state this is I have water tanks as well, and the secondary tank is not plumbed in correctly. So, when both tanks are not filled to capacity I have a bunch of pump cycling...as the secondary tank gets lower - I get less and less water pressure...

something to think about..

What's that law? The simplest answer is usually the right one? After disassembling half of our water system, playing with the pump and lugging an air compressor to our boat, we found the answer to our problem. Apparently we must have had some crud in the system and the faucet aerator screens were clogged up. Oh well, but at least we're back in business!

Hey, I got one right! However, I am glad that you got to know your water system from top to bottom. Think how much easier it will be NEXT time.

Have a good weekend.

i think this is what you are referring to.
if you rule out the simple things first, your frustration level will go down somewhat.
if you have a filtration system, a dirty filter or being airlocked could explain the problem. however, never discount the possibility it could be something easily overlooked (clogged aerators for example). prepare for the major issues, like a bad pump. budget boat units for project.
