My home base is the Magothy. I've never dropped anchor or been in Whitehall bay. I recommend you go seven miles north to the Magothy and drop anchor behind Gibson Island in what your chart should indicate as either Tar Cove or Eagle Cove. It's a large protected anchorage with lots of depth.

I'll be up in Fairlee creek all weekend.
