I need a bag...

My gear has outgrown my daysailing bag. The bag I had was tiny anyways as I was trying to carry the minimum but the time has now come to go a little bit bigger as I literally can't get my jacket, pants, and PFD into this bag.

I see Gill makes some bags but they are expensive. Does anyone have any ideas for cheaper alternatives? I need a bag that is waterproof (at least on the bottom) as there is often water rolling around on the ground when racing.

Thanks any help appreciated!

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Thanks Dog, I may head over to REI to see what they have today. The skipper I raced with last night had a jumbo dry bag like that. The ONLY downside I see is that there aren't pockets for different things so everything is a mish mosh!

Thanks for the idea, others?

DrB is on a distinguished road
Dry Bags are great

NRS/others also make dry duffles for a little more $. (www.nrsweb.com). I use my for kayak camping. I little more roomy and easier to load. Small or Medium will handle most daysailing stuff easily.

Here is a direct link Dry Duffles.

Well, what do you want for less than $20??? You could always put your current bag inside this one to act as pockets...it would probably fit.

Haha, yeah I know it. $20 for anything sailing related is a steal. I may get one of these for racing and a different bag for daysailing
