Anybody ever splice Marlow Braid

I'm trying to splice an eye in MarlowBraid and the directions call for a splicing needle. Not only do I not have a needle, I can't find a place on this side of "The pond" to buy one. Does anyone know of a way to pull the core into the cover without the splicing needle. I have multiple fids, but none of them are long enough to pust through the 14" distance. FWIW it's a small eye that I'm splicing. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check Brion Toss Yacht Riggers, Sailboat Rigging. I'm pretty sure his splicing wand would work.

Exit the core

You can just exit the core and take the fid out, then reenter in the same spot and continue. You can do that as much as needed. Hope this helps. Brandon

I recently spliced some Marlow line... and it had their weird three-strand core...and used a Brian Toss Splicing Wand to do it...worked quite well.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
