Removing Hunter rub rail

I have a leak in my aft abin and suspect the deck/hull joint. How do I remove the rub rail on a 2001 Hunter 340 or similar age large boat Hunter? My rail does not have the stainless insert - its simply a vinyl rubber bumper.

Not familiar with your boat but I had a rubber rub rail on a boat and it was one continious run all the way around with a joint at the stern. It was 2 piece and the center rub part was interlocked into the outer part, sort of tongue and groove. You could remove the plate at the stern and pull out the outer half to get to the screws behind it. To reinstall the outer half, it took a rubber mallet and a lot of work.
