I second Jody, by theory and having such system for 10+ years. Just go for well designed chargers and charge controllers, with several safety features. I designed and installed my ACRs combiners since its launch, making the damm thing fully automatic. ZapStop is a jurassic solution ... still happy

bitter sweet.

This is fantastic. Thanks for all the input everyone. Although, it's a little bitter sweet that "I'm an idiot" has been hung on the front of this forum for a week with my name under it.

My first step is going to be to install the DeepSea Add-a-Battery system. I soon hope to add some passive generation to the mix, but I'm still not sure what that will be yet. Once I make up my mind there, I'll dive head long into a comprehensive solution.

BTW, my alternator is behaving as if I did nothing wrong. I'm still getting a new one nonetheless.
