Remove old ports, remove sealant remains, cut new ports using old ones as a template. Bed new ports with butyl rubber tape as a sealant. Drill holes in the new deadlights oversized and countersink both sides. This will allow the port to expand and contract as necessary and help prevent cracks from starting at the holes.
Cosmetically, it makes sense to paint the outermost 1" or so, where the sealant will be, black, so that it hides the overlap between the port and the fiberglass.
