I have what looks like an old OMC saildrive, 15 hp, 2 cyl, in my Grampian 26. But having problems. The engine stalls, bangs, shudders and shakes.....often quitting just as I approach harbour. Is it old
fuel? I put in new spark plugs and have tried adjusting the low speed idle needle but still have problems. Is it bad carburetor?
Fuel pump? Power pack? Sounds at times like backfires and misses.
Any suggestions? Know any good OMC mechanics?
