saildrive ignition cut out

I just purchased a 1981 s2 with a 15hp OMC saildrive. The motor stalls everytime it is placed in neutral o/w it runs fine. How do you replace the ignition cut out switch; where is it located?

I don't think a switch is your problem. The only ignition kill that I am aware of is the key switch itself. It is difficult to say what is causing your problem, but it helped me to change the spark plugs, and readjust the mixture and the idle speed. There is a yahoo saildrive owners group you can join which I have found to be quite helpful. Good luck.
