Autohelm 2000 Remote - Not SeaTalk - Does anyone have the pin-outs for the connector?

After reading ALL of the request for unused Autohelm 2000 remotes - and getting outbid for an Autohelm remote on eBay a little while ago - I'm back looking for input so that I can build my own unit.

I've seen several old posts that this should just be as simple as 4 momentary-on pushbuttons mounted in a box - but would like to know if anyone can tell me what the pin-outs are? This is a 4 pin connector.

Or, on the remote chance - does anyone have one un-used that they will consider selling. I beleive I can make a 2000, 4000, 6000 remotes work as long as they are then pre-SeaTalk, 4 pin connector units.

I have an Autohelm 2000 and just purchased a 4 pin not seatalk Autohelm 6000 remote, but can't get it to do anything right. Can anyone shed some light on this? The connectors don't match, but I've tried all the combinations of the 4 wires and can get any sort of action out of the remote buttons.
