I see. Interesting: I don't recall it smelling at all like gasoline. My recollection was that it smelled more like alcohol than anything else. Perhaps my memory's faulty. It has been quite a few years.
I can imagine burning a petroleum product of any kind in an enclosed area, esp. an area as small as a sailboat cabin (well, most of 'em, anyway) would probably be a Very Bad Idea.

Of course not. I was just wondering why marine
stoves apparently don't use the same
fuel, being as, in
my experience, Coleman-type lanterns,
stoves, etc. are generally pretty easy to work with. Perhaps I have my answer.
