Question Annapolis-AOTB-Private Pier Permit

Hi All!

My fiance and I have just purchased a home in Arundel On The Bay (Annapolis, MD) on Fishing Creek. We're in a heated debate over whether to install a private for two reasons... Cost and process! To hit the more important of the two (in my opinion) on the head first, I'd like to solve the mystery of permits... I have searched high and low for an application to apply for a permit to build a private pier and can not find one.

Can someone send me a link or the form to jesjuldem@gmail.com please?

Thank You!
Jessica

Check out this site Water Permits
This page covers specific requirements.
http://www.mde.state.md.us/assets/do...it/tw_pier.pdf

That takes care of the federal and state permits required. A county permit would also be required. A quick search of marine contractors shows that many of them would also assume responsibility for the permits required on a project.

Wish I had your problem. Good luck.

T37Chef will become famous soon enough
I don't know the details, but be aware that getting permits for anything in AA County is a real PITA right know. If you contract someone I would inquire with them what they know about this.
