Stanchion Base Plate

Hi,

Anyone know where I can find a stanchion base plate for a lifeline (don't need the pole just the deck plate). Looked all over online but all the ones I found were too big.

I need something for a 1" stanchion. The one I have now has a footprint of 3" in the front, 4" in the back with holes in the front on 2" centers and holes in the back on 3" centers (for the bolts). The stanchion support is straight up (0 degrees).

Thanks for any information.

I can second Garhauer Marine. They are a family owned business, do great work and know their stuff! Check out their website and email them or give them a call. Bill, Mary or one of the "boys" will help you out. If you get Bill or Mary on the phone tell them Martha alias Nautical Fishwife sent you. You should also look them up at the next boat show you attend. You'll be amazed at their products and their prices are more than fair.

Alternatively, any good fabrication shop can make one for you from aluminum or stainless. Don't be surprised if you choose to go stainless. The price of raw materials has gone up nearly 300% in the last two years.

Something like this? Try: MARINE AND BOAT RAIL HARDWARE 45°, 60° , 90° RECTANGULAR BASES, TEEShttp://www.marineparts.com/Kel/images/kel616.jpg

btw, don't ever buy ZAMAC hardware for a sailboat, especially if it is on SALTWATER. Zamac is a zinc alloy that disintegrates quite nicely in a saltwater environment.
