resealing center hatch

We would like to reseal the center hatch on our Sabre 34 (1979). It looks like if we back out the screws that there is no way to get to the nut(S). Anyone else have the same or similiar issue. Thanks

Are you sure there are nuts? I just resealed two hatches and they were both held down with screws only, plus the Sikaflex.

I'd recommend unscrewing one a tiny bit to see if you've got through-bolted machine screws or wood screws only.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
