Hey guys and thanks for your help. I took my starter off and lubricated the bendix, which was very dry. Works like new. You guys are brilliant.!!!! Thanks again.

I assume that almost any car parts store will test starters and alternators for free. The hardest part is getting the boat in the door if you choose not to remove the hardware to be tested.

thats why we hang around, have duct tape & WD-40, will travel.

Now if I could only get the flux capacitor to fire up the chrome plated titllator valve on this DeLorean, we'd be cookin'!
( I think the guzinta is mis-aligned, wheres my hammer? )
