Lewmar Self tailing winch line size

I need to replace the jib sheets on my 36' pearson 1985.
The winches are Lewmar 48ST. What line size will these winches take?

My 44's take 1/2 to 5/8 inch

line I think. According to the Lewmar website the 46's take 5/8" to 9/16".

According to the lewmar website the 48ST winches take line diameters of 5/16–9/16.

Dr. B... might want to check your specs... a winch that takes a 5/8-9/16 inch line has only a 1/16 of an inch in line diameter range...

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Sabreman will become famous soon enough
Sabre spec'd out 1/2" for my 48s and I've had no problems, nor did the PO.

Sorry.......

A 48ST Lemwar takes 5/16 to 9/16" lines. I double checked Lewmar Website after SD's post.

wouldn't use a 5/8"line in a Lewmar 48ST winch. It won't hold securely in the self-tailer.

Not according to Lewmar... but hey, it's your boat... and your head if the sheets slip.

Question Lewmar winches

Remember my boat is an 1985 model and the Lewmar manual I have with the boat is dated 1982. Winches were sent in on warranty card in 1985. I have questioned Lewmar on the internet and they are still researching the answer. So confusing
