Hello I'm just going to introduce myself I have been sailing most of my fifty years the last 4 years on my own custom built (by Vic Carpenter ) 31 foot wooden boat which I have been repairing and refiting as I sail her around the north shore of Lake Ontario A few races even. I have lots of quetions and I have most times been directed to sailnet more times than I can count. I will get more into the quetions I have after I have learned more about how to do that in the mean time I will read and watch what everyone else does. Send me an hello and any one else with one of Vics boats would love to hear from you Thanks

Welcome. Nice to have some more "older" guys around.

Hey, I beat SD to the post.

Chris

If a man must be obsessed by something, I suppose a boat is as good as anything, perhaps better than most. A small sailing craft is not only beautiful, it is seductive and full of strange promise and the hint of trouble.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Proof of intelligent life being out there. After you get 10 posts, please post some photos of your boat.
