Where To Get Parts For Old Westerbeke 4-107?

Greetings all:

Anybody know where I can get parts for my old warhorse four-107 Westerbeke? I believe that this engine has Perkins roots, but not sure? Torrenson sells Westerbeke parts on-line, but ouch - Expensive!
Need esoteric stuff like banjo bolts, banjo bolt copper gaskets, fuel injection bits, etc..
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Hansen Marine in Marblehead, MA is the local distributor. Oh and yes the parts will still be expensive but will get there faster than ordering from Torrensen!

It's a Perkins 4-107 internally. Pistons, rods, rings, bearings, etc. can all be purchased for a standard Perkins 4-107. The injection pump, lines, exhaust, alternator mounts and so forth are westerbeke and you don't have much choice on those.

The injectors are, thankfully, Perkins, so you can get parts directly from them.

I haven't had much luck finding cheap westie parts, either.

I've been through my Westerbeke Four One Zero Seven. There's no black magic in it. Just some expensive bits. I still haven't figured out where the gold is...I know it has to be there.

try a ford/new holland farm-construction equipment dealer.
The Perkins was pretty popular in the 4, 5 and 6000 series in the 70's and early 80's tractors, New Holland forage choppers and some Ford-NewHolland backhoes.

My experience with Hansen Marine has been better than good. I have called them as a last resort from a marina in N. Carolina that was unable to locate a part. They knew exactly what I needed from the part number in a very outdated manual. And had it there in two days.

In short they have a great inventory and knowledgable and helpful people answering phones, if you have any question about what you actually need.
