Exhaust Temperature

Does anyone know what temperature the exhaust gas might reach on a raw water cooled marine diesel (a 1977 Yanmar YSB8) and/or how hot the exhaust elbow will get? I know that raw water engines seem to operate at a temperature around 140F, but presumably the exhaust gas and elbow exceed this.

Thanks

Rockter will become famous soon enough
oft...
The elbow will be much hotter. The injected raw water will not be able to cool all of it. Mine, a raw water-cooled MD17C is far, far too hot to touch.
It is a tough call to know how hot the hottest part of it would be.
