2000R with a Balmar?

Anyone ever hear of there being a problem with the Link 2000R regulating a Balmar high output alternator? Dealer suggests that they've had some problems in the past. Not a big deal to go with a Balmar regulator, but just curious if anyone else has had or heard of some compatibility problem between the two.

I just did a google on "Link 2000R Balmar ". There were several hits. Didn't read it carefully but the combination has been used before.

Thanks Cam. Turns out there have been more than one report of trouble with the 2000R. I think we'll go with the 2000, and then match the Balmar alternator to a Balmar regulator.

I think hat is a good idea Dan...+ it is so easy to find and swap out if it does go bad and they are good about doing that.
