Main Halyard Fix

Hi folks, I broke the handle on my main halyard cluth. It is a Lewmar double about 20 years old I guess. Any suggestions or words of advice? Will a new Lewmar fit old location? Thanks.

It's possible that the bolt pattern is the same but I doubt it. There is a good chance that you will be able to use at least one of the holes. Worst case, you will be able to cover one hole and have one showing.

Measure the hole spacing... the new lewmar hole spacing is available on their website.

I recently broke the main halyard handle on my 20-year-old Easylock triple. I don't really have suggestions or advice, only commiseration. :( It turns out Easylock changed their hole pattern 1/16 inch, so I've decided to go Lewmar as long as I have to mess with filling and potting holes and all. I'm trying to limp along until off-season.

Hello,

You may be able to replace just the handle.

I was able to buy a replacement handle for a Lewmar clutch here:

For XAS clutch. Spinlock

Good luck,
Barry
