can benefif from VC17 be quantified?

I sail a 29ft. Vineyard Vixen in light air, on smooth, fresh, quite clean, water. The underbody is typical of the 1970's with a forefoot cutaway and a cutaway aft of the keel in front of the skeg-hung rudder. The current anti-fouling paint is several coats of Interlux ablative copolymer ACT. I would say the hand-stroke smoothness is only fair. The bottom has never been faired. So--factoring all this in, can we guess what speed performance increase I could get in my Wed. night LMPHYR club racing, if I had the bottom air+medium blasted, perhaps coated with epoxy, sanded smooth, and painted with VC17? Thanks for your thoughts--Steve

I guess you would need the coefficient of wet friction for both and a mathematical model of your hull to accurately quantify this.

Or just see if beat other boats.
