fendertweed is on a distinguished road
please do ask him ... I'm still scratching my head because as I read it, on my 26' Pearson, I can show a 360 masthead white light plus my bow side lights and that's OK (not showing a stern (2d) white light)).

this is clearly not the preferred method but as a temporary idea til I can get a ladder & lash it to the mast & go up to the steaming light (about 16' up), as I read the rules it's legal...

... I'm rarely if ever out after sunset but it's nice to know I can if I want, and be legal ...

plus I can then call the nice guy who did my VSC and is waiting for my confirmation on the steaming light status (it was too bright Sat. afternoon to tell if it was working) and let him know that I do have a viable steaming light and he can send me my sticker.

Jon
