The continuing saga of BJ's dinghy repair attempt..

..so I got the 2 part dingy glue stuff from West. It worked like a dream. But now I discover more problems.

It's a PVC Zodiac dinghy, and I need some more strips of PVC material so I can glue them over seams, most particularly along the transom, but also in some problem areas that have minor leaks I can't get plugged with the 2 part glue. Plus, I've resigned myself to simply doubling up all the seams for strength reasons, figure that couldn't hurt.

So where's the best place to get additional PVC material? I almost wish I was at a bigger boat yard so I could find an old busted PVC dinghy and butcher it for the material. I suppose I could use two or three round patches to plug the holes I know of, but I'd prefer to just get a spool of PVC vinyl, maybe a foot wide and 20 feet long or so, and really go to town.

Yeah, but they're not retail, are they?

Think Grainger would have it?

Beej67, try a commerical roofing contractor. The material they use on a flat roof is PVC

Most flat roofs these days are ethylene propylene diene M-class rubber or EPDM, but pvc roofs are becoming somewhat common.
