Garmin GPS to PC

I saw the post about SeaClear II and NOAA RNC charts and got excited. Will this cable transmit the GPS data to my PC for that NMEA 0186 thing? I have a Garmin 76cxs model.
Thanks
Stu

PC interface cable (RS232 serial port connector)
Part Number: 010-10141-00
Suggested Retail Price: $ 38.09 USD

Normally ships in 1 - 3 business days

This cable allows you to make a powerful connection between your GPS and your PC. Create routes and waypoints on your PC and transfer them to your GPS. You can also download map detail from MapSource CD-ROMs to compatible units. Cable features a standard 9-pin D connector. Does not provide wiring for external power.

Stu-

You can also get the plug you need for about $10 and make your own cable, one that supports both the NMEA 0183 output and power. Look HERE.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Glad to help. Beats paying through the nose for the cable that doesn't do as much.
