Cutlass change

Just now, my boat is haul out for antifoul and cutlass bearing change. When I splash it this saturday, do I realign the engine/shaft same time or wait couple of days? There's no change to the standing rigs.

Wait a few days for the hull to retake its floating shape. Definitely don't do the final alignment while you are on the hard.

If all they changed is the cutlass bearing, you shouldn't be very much, if at all, out of alignment.

I just changed out my 25 year old cutless bearing and when the boat goes back in the water I plan on doing nothing for shaft alignment. I may be naive on this subject, but I don't see the need to mess with something that ain't broke (yet!).
