blt2ski will become famous soon enough
OK, now that I look at that chart for the umteenth time, I am seeing that I need to convert pitch inches, to pitch degrees! so need to be at 16* if I use the fixed 13x7 blade that came on the boat, and use the 13" two blade that is on it. Now to go look up and see if this is what I am at, or if it might be incorrect for what I have for a motor, trans gear etc.

hmmmmmmmmmmmm

edit, randy was typing as I was.

Being as I do not have a tach, major issue if one were to ask me, but being as no one has........It is hard to say if the motor is stalling 200 or so rpms less than max. It would seem that way, but one would also hope one could hit hull speed at max RPM too. i would think this would be possible, of course assuming that one has the rpm/HP to do so. I would think a 16hp twin cyl yanmar could prople a 6500 lbs boat to 6.7 knots! Anyway, I guess a ph call may be in order or an email to PYI......

Call them - they'll type in your boat make / model / yr / engine and give you what you need to have it set at.

PYI can recommend a qualified diver in your area who can repitch and lubricate your Max Prop while the boat is in the water for much, much less than the price you were quoted. Unless you need machining, there isn't much that can be done to a Max Prop in the yard that can't be done underwater.
