mast wiring ant base

Hi All
It's time to fix the wiring at the base of the mast.(cabin top steped). The PO just drilled 2 holes thru the cabin to allow the VHF and mast light wiring to pass thru, and has now created issues in the core. I plan to fix this but want to revise the way the wiring passes thru the cabin top. Some time late this season there was a boat (don't know what kind) that had a chrome loop with the open end facing down then looped back to the cabin top and fastened with 3 or 4 screws. All the wiring passed thru the loop into the boat. So in the end can anyone tell me what kind of boat this loop was standard on and are they available????? This may not have been standard and just some ones good idea.

While they might be a standard fit on some boats, they are not a bespoke item, most chandlerys will sell something similar.
An alternative and more waterproof option is a deck gland, these is sort of a piece of rubber with a hole that the cable passes through, the tightness of fit keeps it sealed. Again, any chandlery should stock it.
