Tanaka 3hp outboard

I''m thinking of replacing my 2hp Suzuki with a Tanaka. It is Tiller mounted on my Sea Pearl 21. Since it is air cooled I was wondering if it could take a good splash without stalling. I haven''t been able to find any reviews on the Tanaka and anyone''s imput about this motor will be helpful.
