have to winterize?

Hello,
My friend keeps a 35' sloop at a marina in annapolis, MD and has always winterized it. He was wondering this year, are there any options for winterizing that would allow him to continue to use the boat throughout the winter season? I presume concerns are freshwater plumbing and head (both could be done without) and engine cooling (this seems like the tough spot).

if its at a slip with power you can winterize everything but the engine and put in a small heater to keep the engine above freezing. other options including rewinterizing the engine when he takes it out, its not big of a deal. heck with a few extra valves it could be set up to be very easy... ie shut off thru hull, open valve with 3 foot of hose attached running thru a t, stick in bucket and run engine till flushed. it could be done in 10 mins with that setup.
