gelcoat chips

I have some chips in my gelcoat due to a scrape with a dock. Are the commercail "tube remedies" any good? Anybody have any experience with them?

All of the remedies work, its just that they''re all the wrong colors, and mixing the colorants usually ends up looking "off" a little bit. If you can contact the original manufacturer and get him to send you exactly what he uses, you''ll be close. Usage and sunlight have of course altered your boat''s color from what he sends you, but after a few years you''ll have other nicks to distract you from this first one. Good luck!
