Dinghy repair adhesive?

The elements have dissolved the glue joints on our inflatable dinghy. The brand name is Baltic. What adhesive can I use to re-glue the joints?

depends if it is made of hypalon or pvc

I agree that the first thing is to establish what the dinghy is made from, then go online or visit your local chandlery to get the correct adhesive.

However, what you do next depends very much on the extent to which the joints have actually come apart. In my experience, only relatively small tears and damage are straightforward.

I suggest that you Google "repairing inflatable dinghy" - there are several sites which provide good information.

Good luck

I have had the same issue on PVC and Hypalon and found the contact cements available in chandleries inadequate. I did have sucess with an industrial 2-part contact cement that the manufacturers use but it is expensive and once the bottles are opened the product only lasts a day or two. Even unopened bottles last only a month or so. I eventually tried 3M 5200 and its been holding now for about three years
