Blue Sky v Xantrex

I want a single bank battery monitor and I'm considering either the Xantrex link 10 or the Blue Sky IPN-Pro Remote.

I am also adding a Blue Sky mppt controller for my solar panel - so staying in the same brand might be something to take into consideration.

I know a lot of people speak highly of the link10. Does anyone have experience with the Blue Sky monitor? Experience with both? Is it a worthy consideration to stay "in brand"?

Get the IPN since it provides additional functions when used with a BlueSky MPPT controller.

That was kind of my thought too, SD.

I suppose a better question would be: Will the Blue Sky monitor crap out on me or is it likely to perform just as well as the link10 in the rugged environment we like to subject our electronics to? A little extra functionality isn't worth 1/2 the life span - to me.

Does anyone own the IPN Pro Remote?

If you want ruggedness.. get the Outback MXT60, which is marinized IIRC. I don't believe the BlueSky is marinized.
