Interior teak repair

I have several deep scratches and gouges in the teak steps and hand rails and a rather large crack in the panel on the door to the head on my Lord Nelson 35. What is recommended for filling these areas? I'm planning on using satin finish varnish after sanding and filling unless someone thinks I should do otherwise.

You can try to find a color match with store bought fillers by mixing different ones together until you are close. This takes forever and never really makes a good match and the filler is soft forever.

I like to fill the gouge with glue, say titebond III in your case, and then sand the wood while the glue is still liquid. The sawdust will mix with the glue and fill the hole with a perfect color match and the glue will become hard when it sets. Then sand once more to clean up everything nicely.

Try it on a scrap piece of wood if you are sceptical but it really does work well.
