Hurth tranny on way to DOA

I''m pretty sure the Hurth tranny (connected to Universal 24 in a 1980 boat) has problems on the order of requiring rebuilt. I have an inquiry into Foley. Anybody have an idea how much we are talking in terms of buying a rebuilt?

Try merequipment.com, do a google search, anything but Foley. They are expensive, and their customer service, in one word is --BIZARRE
Good luck
Mike
