You're much better off increasing ventilation, rather than trying to rely on a dehumidifier or air conditioning. It will require far less power and probably work better as well. Inadequate ventilation is generally the major cause of mold/mildew problems. Solar powered ventilators, like those made by Nicro, are a really good idea—especially when installed in pairs, one as a intake and the other as an exhaust.
