Cheap boat yard south-west of New York City?

I want to bring my boat back from Florida to Lake Champlain this winter but would prefer to store it (for the remainder of the season) at a marina somewhere in New Jersey, around the South Amboy area. It could also be slightly more west or south in the canals.

I know NOTHING about that area. Can someone recommend either:

1- a better region to store my boat when arriving on truck from the south in February near (+ or - 100 miles) the Hudson river...?

or

2- a boat yard in the aforementioned area able to unload my boat off the trailer at this time of the year and where I won't be ripped off?
