Propane problem: solenoid or regulator?

The gas to my stove on my Beneteau 311 (2000) dies after about 20 minutes. Left alone for ten minutes or so and it can be lit again, just to die once more. Is this a solenoid problem or a regulator problem? Or maybe both? The equipment is, I suspect, original. If either/both needs replacing, does anyone know what I need and where to get it? It's more than likely the solenoid. They are designed to shut themselves when they fail. It's pretty easy to swap one out. Trident MArine is a good source for these fixtures, and their products are carried in most chandleries.

It sounds like a solenoid, but it could be the regulator if it isn't delivering enough pressure to keep the solenoid activated.

Try temporarily removing the solenoid from the system.. if the stove functions OK then, you've got your answer!

Well...if you have the patience to do it, get your ear next to the solenoid and stay there while someone else starts the system and lets it cook. You should be able to hear the solenoid open, and then if you hear a second "click" and it closes when the system cuts off again--you've pinpointed a solenoid problem.

IF you hear a click elsewhere it's the little gremlin hiding in the bilge who is running up and turning off the burner because it got too hot.
