Building a new rudder
I own a 1973 24'' Seafarer and need to replace the rudder. The hull shape allows for an outboard, tiller-steered rudder that raises and lowers with a daggerboard-type of design. I want to replace the rudder I currently have with a kick-up style so I can raise and lower the blade depending on water depth, etc. I would be interested in finding plans for such rudders from other manufacturers. (MacGregor, Pearson, Hunter, etc.) Also, a used rudder in good condition will work well. Does anybody have any ideas or sources for me to reference?

Building a new rudder
Brian, I just bought an 1982 24'' seafarer, but the rudder on my boat is gone. I have the metal brace and the tiller. I have no idea of a design or material. Any help you could give would be appreciated.
