Cheap C-Map ??

Does anyone know where to get a cheap C-map card for my area (charleston SC) we keep the boat at folly, and the current shifts the channel so much and so often, it doesn't matter if it's 10 years old or current... just want to be able to leave a breadcrumb trail on the way out and follow it back .. and see some of the creeks etc further up river..

I got the GPS from a friend, just wanted to be able to goof with it more, and don't have much money

What do you think ???

Try craigslist (post a WTB for an old card) or ebay. c-map also has a website where owners can sell/swap their cards IIRC... Also; there is more than one shape of card so you need to get the right "package" for your plotter.

WTB, you've been on here long enough to know that it would really help if you said what GPS unit you actually have.

The cards don't work in all units, and you may even need a proprietary card for the unit. Also, most GPS chartplotters have some sort of base map built into them, without much detail, but you can still leave a "breadcrumb" trail using them.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
