Racor Filter Needed?

Just wondering if we need to use a racor filter on our new diesel, we have one that was connected to our old gas motors fuel system. we have a new stainless steel tank. In the picture you can see it mounted on the wall to the left. can I just get a new filter or do I need a whole new unit? thanks.

Scott

You can get a replacement filter for that model Racor. IIRC, the replacement filter comes without the plastic bowl on the bottom, so you replace just the filter itself.

It shouldn't be a problem but you should make sure the flow rates of the filter work with your new engine.

I've ordered a few filters from this place with good luck.

PS, regs prohibit the plastic bowl in an engine compartment with a gasoline engine.
