We want your NMEA data :)

As part of the work on Polar View we need NMEA data. While we have some sources of NMEA data, there are literally thousands of instruments from various manufacturers, all speaking different dialects.

So, if you want to help a new product and have a computer connected to any of your instruments on board (GPS, speed/wind/depth, AIS, autopilot or anything else you may have) - and don't mind logging some data, please contact me here in the thread, or by private message.

Logging data is not technically difficult and can be achieved with existing tools on your Windows or Mac computer (and we can provide a simple data logger if necessary).

P.S. for those in general Chesapeake area - I'd be glad to do the logging myself (if you feel like having me on board ), and if you'd like - you can be first to test our new NMEA product when it is available
